Rear Projection Optical Screens

Common man’s definition –
Rear Projection is a setup in which the projector is placed behind the screen, shooting straight forward towards the audience. These setups are best done by using optical screens that controls the light path and distributes bright, sharp images into a predefined viewing zone.

Intro –
Optical rear projection is a projection concept which provides up to 4 times brighter and sharper images than conventional front or rear projection screens. In fact, optical screens use light so effectively that they allow you to project large images in brightly lit rooms - and even outdoors.

The result is:

  • Up to 4 times brighter images than front projection
  • No shadows from the presenter onto the screen
  • Enhanced contrast
  • Enhanced resistance to ambient light in the room
  • Can be used in outdoor applications
  • Projection equipment is hidden behind the screen
  • No noise from projection equipment

Trend –
The modern information society has created a huge demand for new powerful display media. Just a few years back, large screen projection was restricted to the confinements of dark rooms. But with optical screens, the projection environment is no longer a problem. It is an opportunity.

One can use rear projection screens for all environments:

  • Conference rooms
  • Control rooms
  • Exhibitions
  • Point of Sale displays
  • Sports arenas
  • Casinos and bars
  • Simulators
  • Home entertainment
  • TV studios

These screens can be hung in free space or be built into walls, cubes and mobile retro boxes. Each optical screen type gives you freedom to choose between several features such as enhanced contrast, brightness, resolution and image uniformity. This allows you to select a screen that meets the exact demands of your projector and installation environment. Yesterday the screen was the limit. Today it is your imagination.
